    Webinar: Sustainable Food Practices (Certificate)

Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

As food plays such an integral role in our lives, Montclair State has recognized the need to incorporate a program that focuses on the sustainability aspect of food. We are pleased to share that we will be offering a new Sustainable Food Practices Certificate program starting this Fall semester! Students in the program will gain a better understanding of the relationship between food production practices, food waste and ethics to sustainable production.

This is a fully interdisciplinary 12 credit program and you do not need to have a specific academic background to be eligible for admission. All students in the program will take two courses, Advanced Food Ethics, Sustainability and Alternatives as well as Advanced Food Systems and Agribusiness Issues in addition to two elective courses.

We have also designed the program so all of the coursework within the Sustainable Food Practices Certificate program can be applied towards the MS Nutrition and Food Science if you would like to continue on to earn a Master’s degree! You will also have the opportunity to earn an optional Food Sustainability Certificate from Green Restaurant Association.

Register now for a webinar on Thursday, May 27th at 4PM to learn more about the program and to hear directly from the Program Coordinator, Dr. Charles Feldman as well as Michael Oshman, the CEO and Founder of Green Restaurant Association.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
