    The Computer Science and Linguistics Departments at Montclair State University are pleased to announce the launch of the only Master of Science in Computational Linguistics program in New Jersey. The first cohort of Computational Linguistics master's students will begin Fall 2019.

    If you are interested in languages and technology this exciting interdisciplinary program may be a great gateway towards a rewarding career. Graduates of the program can become computational linguists, social analysts, knowledge engineers, search product analysts, language engineers, technical linguists, voice user interface designers, and ontology engineers, among others. According to 2017 Burning Glass data, the average listed salary for these positions in NY-NJ-PA Metro area was $102,000. With the rise of Natural Language Processing, voice to text, computer-mediated language learning technologies and artificial intelligence, the demand for specialists in this area is growing fast.
