Health Careers Program Combined BS/MD Program (Eight-Year)

Rutgers University 7-Year Joint Pharmacy (BS/PharmD) Program

Requirements for consideration:

High School seniors who have been accepted or anticipate being accepted into the Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry majors
US Citizen or Permanent Residency in any US State
Coursework preparation in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
A maximum of five letters of recommendation, with at least one each from teachers of Mathematics, Science and English
SAT – Minimum of 1200 Critical Reading and Math Combined
The high School grade point average, rank in class, and standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) along with letters of recommendation from high school teachers, will be of primary importance in evaluating an applicant’s credentials.

Rutgers University 8-Year Combined BS/MD Medical Program

Requirements for consideration:

High School seniors who are highly motivated and academically capable from financially and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
Must meet the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Income Guidelines
United States Citizen or Permanent Resident, with NJ Residency
Applicants must have earned a “B” average or above GPA
Class rank in the top 10%
A minimum “B” average in science and mathematics
SAT – Combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math score of 1100 or above (with at least 550 on both sections) in a single test administration
Please note: although Montclair State University is a test-optional institution, students applying to this program must submit SAT scores.
A maximum of five letters of recommendation, with at least one each from teachers of Mathematics, Science and English. You will be required to add your references as part of your application - make sure you have one English, one Science, and one Mathematics teacher.
Selected students are invited for an interview with the Health Careers Program Committee and a final separate interview with the Admissions Committee at Rutgers-NJMS
Application and supporting documents (including official transcripts, SAT scores, letters of recommendation, etc.) must be received by December 15th. No exceptions.
